We are looking for a Technology Manager, Industrial Filtration, to join the Filtration Business Line Product Group Industrial Filtration. The preferred location is in Finland (Espoo, Tampere or Lappeenranta).
Job Summary
The Technology Manager, Industrial Filtration, will be responsible for providing technology, commercial and process support for MA sales in complex chemical and hydrometallurgical sales cases, as well as drive grow within the industrial business in selected region.
This person must communicate effortlessly and clearly using online tools and face-to-face meetings with various audiences and locations. The position will allow you to manage your time independently to remain agile with the flexibility to work in a Metso office or a hybrid working model. What you’ll do
- Develop industrial filtration by coaching, guiding and supporting front-end sales and technical sales support.
- Support selected Market Areas for high-growth capital equipment sales volume, increased annual profitability, and grow the market share.
- Contribute and implement the product strategies, technical and commercial selling frames.
- Develop market, customer and competitor analysis.
- Drive customer centricity in all Filtration Business Line activities.
- Be responsible for technology and process leadership in customer offerings.
- Contribute to product portfolio improvement and development of new products.
- Give input for product management and R&D plans.
- Marketing and sales support of Industrial Filtration offerings to customers together with market areas.
- Responsible for sales forecasting, follow-up, reporting, profitability development and risk analysis.
- Able to gather and understand FDA, GMP, ATEX etc. policies related to Industrial Filtration processes.
Accountabilities:
- Accountable for exceeding or meeting the performance metrics of the role.
- Accountable for follow-up of policies and compliance framework.
Who you are
- Ability to work with others from a range of cultures within a diverse political, economic, technical and social environment.
- Bachelor (B.Sc.) or Master (M.Sc.) degree in either Chemical, Metallurgical or Mechanical discipline or equal experiences.
- 5+ years of hand on experience in industrial processes, chemical processes, mineral processing, process engineering or similar. Site experience, testing background and/or sales experience will be highly valued.
- Confident in speaking and presenting in front of a customer or large variety of audiences and during trade shows.
- Excellent understanding of industrial processes, flow charts, design, and overall knowledge of end-to-end industrial equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure, communicate assertively, and work in different time zones.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work effortlessly between internal and external stakeholders across all departments and pull together working teams.
- Sound awareness of business finances, profitability modelling and total cost of ownership.
- Available to travel at least ~60 days annually globally to meet with customers, market areas sales and exhibitions.
