Introduction

 

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer, Minerals to join our Supplier Quality team. You will be responsible for conducting supplier audits and ensuring delivered equipment meets scope and quality standards, which involves planning, executing, and closing audits as well as driving corrective actions. Your role plays a crucial part in maintaining product integrity and supplier performance, which will contribute to delivering high-quality solutions for our customers.
In this position, you will report to Supplier Quality Manager.
This position is mainly located in York, Pensylvania, however, it involves up to 40% global travel to supplier locations.

You will join a team of quality and engineering professionals dedicated to ensuring supplier compliance and product excellence. We are currently working on supplier development initiatives, audit programs, and quality improvement projects.
We work closely with internal stakeholders such as project engineers, product line engineers, and external suppliers worldwide. Our team culture is all about collaboration, continuous improvement, and adaptability. The members in our team are located in various global locations.


What you’ll do

•    Plan, execute, and close supplier audits according to established audit plans.
•    Follow up on audit findings and verify corrective actions, including supplier development and re-audits.
•    Review and prepare job instructions and technical data for audits in collaboration with engineering teams.
•    Prepare and deliver audit reports and related documentation to management.
•    Monitor supplier quality performance and address issues using measurable criteria.
•    Work effectively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate professional conduct.
•    Manage interactions across diverse cultures and adapt to changing business needs.
•    Perform extensive global travel with short notice as required.


Who you are


•    Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or related technical field (preferred).
•    5+ years of experience in the heavy manufacturing industry.
•    Strong knowledge of welding, machining, casting, and international codes (AWS, CWB, ASME, EN).
•    Familiarity with NDT methods, especially UT and MPI.
•    Experience in auditing and inspecting suppliers in the USA; auditing and quality cost experience is a plus.
•    Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
•    Self-motivated, independent decision-maker, and goal-oriented.
•    Flexible and adaptable to changing business conditions.
•    High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•    Ability to work in a matrix organization.
•    Nice-to-have: Experience with supplier development and global quality programs.
