Introduction:
We are seeking a motivated engineering student interested in gaining hands-on experience in the proposal development process within a global technology and machinery company. This short-term internship position will be part of the Grinding Proposals Team, supporting activities related to preparing technical and commercial proposals for our grinding equipment portfolio, including Stirred Mills, Horizontal Mills, HPGR.
As an intern, you will gain exposure to the proposal lifecycle — from reviewing customer RFQs to assembling proposal documents and supporting technical reviews. You will also assist with organizing and updating legacy data, reference proposals, and improving document templates and tools. In some cases, there may be tasks involving basic process modeling, equipment sizing, and Excel-based calculations.
This position is located in York, PA.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in gathering and organizing proposal inputs (technical specifications, drawings, calculations, etc.)
- Help review and summarize customer RFQ documents
- Support standardization and clean-up of historic proposal files and data
- Perform basic analysis using Excel (equipment sizing, cost estimates, etc.)
- Assist with layout drawings and documentation (AutoCAD or similar), may be required
- Read and interpret technical drawings, may be required
- Other proposal-related tasks as assigned
Who you are:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related technical field
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation is a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools is a bonus
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced team environment
