Introduction:
We are seeking a Senior Tactical Sourcing Agent to lead RFQ processes, manage supplier responses, and make strategic supplier selections. Proficiency in Jaggaer and SAP, along with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, is essential. If you are detail-oriented and committed to high standards, we invite you to apply.
This position will be ideally based in York, PA (USA) but are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. This role will report to the Sourcing Director for Grinding, Bulk, Pyro, and Smelting Products Lines for the aftermarket business.
This position may require travel up to 10%.
What you'll do:
- Lead the preparation and execution of Request for Quotations (RFQ) to be sent to suppliers using the ERP systems or e-mail, ensuring comprehensive and accurate documentation.
- Strategically manage supplier responses to RFQs, ensuring adherence to targeted turnaround times and proactively addressing any delays.
- Evaluate and prioritize suppliers based on thorough screening processes, ensuring a deep understanding of each supplier’s capacity, capabilities, and performance history.
- Make strategic decisions in supplier selection, considering key factors such as price, lead time, quality, and reliability.
- Provide leadership and support to the procurement, project management, and proposal teams, offering guidance and resolving complex issues as they arise.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Read and understand manufacturing drawings and bills of materials to ensure accurate procurement of required components.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.
- Expertise in using procurement systems such as Jaggaer and SAP.
