What you’ll do:

  • Engineering Excellence: Lead the engineering and development of structural and mechanical systems for bulk material handling equipment, ensuring compliance with rigorous performance, safety, and quality standards.
  • R&D Pioneer: Spearhead R&D initiatives focused on product development and innovative solutions for bulk material handling equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market needs, conceptualize new products, and implement cutting-edge technologies.
  • Aftermarket Support: Partner with the global GBP Engineering team to engineer and implement upgrades, modifications, and repairs that enhance performance and extend the lifespan of existing equipment.
  • Field Service Engineering: Collaborate closely with the Field Service Team to provide expert engineering support during equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Knowledge Management: Contribute to technical knowledge management, including service work instructions, manuals, and resolution databases.
  • Problem Solver: Provide advanced technical guidance to internal teams and customers, solving complex engineering challenges and delivering innovative solutions in real-time.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices within the team.

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Seasoned experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within bulk material handling equipment in the mining industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD and Inventor), with a deep understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven experience supporting equipment breakdowns, with the ability to rapidly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions under time constraints.
  • Experience working in a global environment, with a strong ability to navigate and collaborate across cultures and regions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Spanish is a plus.
