Introduction 

 

We are seeking a Product Technical Sales Support Engineer - Feeders to join our Sales Support team.  You will be responsible for global application and technical support of sales, product management, proposals, customers, and training for the Feeders (Bulk Materials Handling) products Apron, Belt, and Hybrid Feeders within the Crushing Business. 

 

In this position, you will report to the Director, Bulk Materials Handling. This position can be in York, PA, Brookfield, WI US or Sorocaba, Brazil. We offer flexible working like hybrid options. However, it involves up to 30% of travel to customer sites, engineering offices and Metso sales teams.

You will join a team of Technical Sales experts enthusiastic about technical development. The goal of the team is to provide a high level of quality technical solutions for customer opportunities and projects to ensure the Metso proposed solution is viewed as the superior choice for our customers promoting brand value, providing booking and margin results.We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as Sales, Proposals, Engineering and Project Management team. Our team culture is all about providing new ideas, thinking creatively and maintaining a good communication. 

 

The members in our team are in US and Brazil.  

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Provide Expert Technical Support: Assist mining customers with technical inquiries related to feeding and equipment applications, working closely with the Capital Equipment Sales teams and other internal departments.
  • Promote Innovation: Support the development of high product solutions, making competitive and creative recommendations for machinery selection and application improvements.
  • Conduct Training and Support: Offer technical training for internal teams and external clients, sharing your knowledge on feeder products and enhancing our overall expertise.
  • Analyze Data for Improvement: Collect and analyze field data to support project fulfillment, product development, and marketing strategies.
  • Represent Metso: Showcase our technical prowess at trade shows and conferences, building trust and showcasing our commitment to quality.
  • Customer Engagement: Attend meetings and engage with customers to understand their needs, providing technical support that assists close sales.
  • Develop Tools for Efficiency: Contribute to creating tools that streamline equipment sizing and selection, enhancing proposal efficiency.
  • Market Development: Assist in training on new products and technical knowledge to support market growth. 

 

Who you are:

 

 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Expertise: Good knowledge of feeder Bulk Materials Handling equipment and experience in the mining or heavy equipment sectors is desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, coupled with solid presentation skills for effective training.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A proactive person with advanced communication skills, ready to think creatively and work collaboratively across diverse teams.
