Introduction:
Join Our Team as Product Specialist for Pyro Products! Metso Pyro business delivers world-class thermal processing solutions for minerals, metals, and waste-to-energy industries. Our aftermarket services ensure the continued performance, reliability, and efficiency of complex equipment such as rotary kilns, coolers, and complete pyro processing systems operating in high temperature, demanding environments and delivering world-class customer support throughout the equipment lifecycle. International travel may be required, up to 15% of the year.
In this role, you will resolve technical queries, define and scope highly technical proposals, and ensure the highest standards of technical knowledge management. You will also play a key role in responding to customer problems, developing technical training materials, participating in customer meetings and seminars, and supporting our Global Quotation Support (GQS) and Proposal teams. What you’ll do:
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for Pyro Products, delivering advanced support and troubleshooting.
- Resolve technical queries and incidents promptly with effective solutions.
- Define and scope complex proposals in collaboration with engineering, sales, and product teams.
- Represent Metso in customer meetings and seminars, showcasing product expertise.
- Create and maintain technical training materials for internal teams and customers.
- Provide first-level support to Global Quotation Support (GQS), including documentation retrieval.
- Deliver customized technical solutions and clear value propositions for customer proposals.
- Manage technical knowledge resources such as white papers, work instructions, and resolution databases.
- Review inspection reports and recommend actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent experience required.
- 5 + years experience in technical support, product development, or engineering roles within an applicable industry.
- Experience with CAD software and EDM/Enovia systems preferred.
- Familiarity with the broad range of lime, coke, iron and paper and pulp processing plants is advantageous.
- Process and application knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in technical documentation, knowledge management, and customer support preferred.
- Passionate and engaging, focused on improving operations and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and solve problems effectively.
