Introduction:

 
We are seeking an Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2026 to join our York team. Join our SVS GBP Grinding Product Engineering team and gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within the mining industry. As an intern, you’ll assist experienced engineers on real-world projects, learning about equipment design, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

What you’ll do:

• Support Engineering Projects: Assist in preparing basic drawings, models, and documentation for grinding equipment and components.
• Help with Upgrades & Repairs: Work with the team on improvements and modifications to existing equipment.
• Field Service Exposure: Occasionally support engineers during inspections or repairs (under supervision).
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Learning & Development: Participate in meetings, training sessions, and contribute ideas for process improvements. 

Who you are:

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Skills: Basic understanding of mechanical systems and design principles, familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD or Inventor) is a plus.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Attributes: Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, and strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
