Introduction:
We are seeking an Engineering Intern to join our Grinding Delivery team. The intern will work with Metso Engineering team to understand our products and how their discipline is applied to Metso products. The intern will perform practical design work and perform calculations.
This position is located in York, PA.
What you’ll do:
• Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Show attention to quality, ethics, and a focus on meeting the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
• Apply engineering knowledge, principles, and best practices to meet design support activities.
• Performs active design work.
• Performs related engineering calculations.
• Works in collaboration with the engineering team on capital equipment projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings for equipment design and manufacturing.
• Assist engineers in preparing formal engineering specifications for equipment or internal workflows.
Who you are:
• Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s Degree Program in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks is beneficial
• Experience using AutoCAD is beneficial
• Experience using Microsoft Office Products
• Junior or Senior year academic status is required.
• Good organizational skills combined with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Highly motivated team member with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
• Develop solid trusting relationships in order to gain support and reach goals.
• Ability to understand issues domestically and internationally and communicate clearly with clients.
