Introduction to the Role:
Work with Front End Sales team to actively seek out engineered solution and brownfields upgrade opportunities, with the goal of building and winning sales cases by focusing on providing profitable customer value. Additionally, work with Tier 1, 2 and 3 Product Support and Engineering Groups to develop technical solutions and developments to existing Metso technology with an aim to productize into marketable equipment upgrades for front end sales.
The Role Responsibilities:
• Assist with the development of quotations and proposals for engineered solution opportunities
• Review inquiries and determine the scope of supply.
• Assist in planning, execution and delivery of engineered solution projects
• Conduct engineering works to Australian and Client Standards
• Perform design conceptualization, reviews, checks and approvals in accordance with Professional Engineering Practice
• Hold and develop technical competence in relevant business line / product group
• Provide technical and product expertise support to front-end sales, minerals proposal team and customers
• Maximise sales margin by identifying most appropriate manufacturing, procurement and execution pathways for each solution.
• Securing strong value propositions in sales cases to improve conversion rate
• Act as a technical conduit between MA and BL, for complex engineering cases.
• Conduct, coordinate and/or support test work if/when required
• Compliance with sales process, scope and risk management procedures
• Use of customer relationship management (CRM) tools
• Build a strong network and cooperate with all stakeholders (Customers, Front End Sales, Proposal management, BL, Supply, Services, etc.)
• Improvement of Customer Satisfaction
• A winning mindset and responsiveness
• Seek sustainable solutions to assist our customers in reaching their sustainability goals
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Essential
• Tertiary degree in Engineering or extensive relevant technical experience.
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Technical orientation and familiarity with metallurgy, mechanical equipment and process systems
• Experience implementing strategies and business direction to grow a business
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
• Excellent time management, analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to read, analyse and interpret documents and articles, in order to maintain market knowledge
• Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
• Ability to handle concepts and develop business strategies.
• Must have an advanced knowledge and experience in crushing equipment.
