This is an exciting opportunity for a quality professional with strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes, welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), inspection planning and supplier quality management who enjoys working in a collaborative, global environment.
What you'll do
As a Quality Engineer, you will:

- Review customer specifications, technical standards and contractual quality requirements, ensuring effective implementation throughout project execution.
- Provide technical quality oversight for global grinding delivery projects and monitor supplier compliance with approved quality plans and procedures.
- Interpret and apply international codes and standards, including AWS, ASME, EN, ISO and customer-specific requirements.
- Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including inspection reports, welding records, NDT reports, material certificates and manufacturing records.
- Compile and verify Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs) and Manufacturer Data Records (MDRs) for customer submission.
- Partner with Engineering, Sourcing, Project Management, Contracts and supplier teams to resolve quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in supplier qualification activities, audits, inspections, kick-off meetings and quality reviews.
- Provide technical guidance on fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, coatings and inspection requirements.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), quality notifications, root cause investigations and corrective action follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with Metso standards, customer expectations and applicable industry regulations.
- Act as the final quality gate before equipment is released to customers.
- Provide feedback to Product Engineering to support specification improvements and enhanced quality assurance processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, quality standardisation, supplier development programs and lessons-learned activities.
- Build strong relationships and maintain effective communication with global stakeholders, suppliers and customers.
- Travel occasionally (up to 15%) to support audits, inspections and project activities.
Who you are
You are a detail-oriented and collaborative quality professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and working with a diverse range of stakeholders. You bring strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset and a passion for delivering quality outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
- Experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing quality or a similar technical quality role, ideally within mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or OEM environments.
