Are you commercially sharp, technically curious, and motivated by bringing clarity and structure to complex proposals? This is your opportunity to take ownership of high‑value solution development within a global, industry‑leading organisation.
In this role, you’ll collaborate across Sales, Product Groups, Business Lines (BL), Project and Service teams to create commercially robust, customer‑focused proposals that drive real business outcomes. If you enjoy variety, autonomy, and making a visible impact—this is the role for you.
What You Will Do
Life Cycle Solutions (LCS)
- Build compelling LCS estimates, pricing structures, and commercial models in partnership with LCS Solution Leads.
- Conduct risk assessments with Solution Leads, Account Managers, and Product Groups to reduce commercial and execution risks.
- Prepare complete, customer‑ready proposal packages—including scope, pricing schedules, KPIs, and value propositions.
- Manage internal approval workflows through Salesforce.
- Coordinate input across Sales, BLs, Legal, Pricing, Field Service, Repairs, Expert Services, and the Metso Training Academy.
Engineered‑to‑Order (ETO) / Modernisation / Upgrade Proposals
- Review and finalise proposals from BL Proposal Teams, ensuring alignment with Market Area APA requirements, local legislation, Metso T&Cs, and customer credit considerations.
- Ensure proposals are commercially and legally compliant before customer submission.
- Monitor proposal progress, follow up with BLs, and keep Sales informed of development status and potential delays.
- Review purchase orders for accuracy and commercial compliance.
- Prepare complete handover packages and ensure smooth transition to Project and Engineering teams.
Governance, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with Metso governance, proposal workflows, and documentation standards.
- Maintain high levels of commercial accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in pricing models, tools, and ETO/LCS proposal processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- A formal qualification in engineering, business, mathematics, or another relevant technical/commercial discipline.
- 2–3 years' experience in mining, engineering, heavy industry, or aftermarket services.
- Strong analytical skills: price estimation, cost modelling, TCO assessment, cost‑benefit analysis.
- Advanced Excel capability (complex cost models, multi‑option estimates, structured pricing).
- Proven ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results with minimal oversight.
- Strong collaboration skills across Sales, BLs, Solution Leads, and cross‑functional support teams.
- Ability to manage multiple proposals under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce clear, high‑quality proposal content.
- Experience with Salesforce, SAP, or similar CRM/ERP systems.
Desirable
- Experience preparing proposals for ETO, upgrades, modernisations, or LCS.
- Knowledge of Metso equipment, services, and aftermarket structures.
- Strong understanding of contractual terms, Incoterms, supply processes, and commercial governance.
- Experience with multi‑technology or integrated solution proposals.
