Introduction to Role
The Product Implementation Manager APA is responsible for leading and promoting the introduction & development of Field Service offerings in the Asia Pacific Market Area in alignment with the Solutions strategy. Through our Professional Services business governance, this area is accountable for ensuring new Life cycle services concepts are executable in a technical lens.
Operating within the Product Implementation function, this role bridges Field Service Product Development, Professional Services, Market Area Sales and Field Service teams to deliver productized service offerings. This includes ensuring market readiness, structured product launch activities, and sustained service performance by defining service scope, enabling capabilities, ensuring technical support & instructions, and embedding continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities
· Developing the technical competence to start up new and enhance the existing expertise of field services teams to support current installed base.
· In alignment with the product sales teams, this role is to support business development by providing technical input and promoting Field Service & Repairs product offerings.
· Identify opportunities for innovation to optimize the performance of metso technology including but not limited to Digital Inspections and remote monitoring.
· Support the productization of services to be executed under LCS management
· Ensure customer operational readiness plan is successfully implemented with the necessary resources in place – maintenance plans are feasible to be executed with wears & spares and labour recommendations
· Transfer technical knowledge to customers, field service & repairs personnel, apprentices to achieve continuity and high-quality service delivery.
· Inputs into training & development team to maintain an accurate platform of technical documents
· Ensure baseline performance data is captured for continuous improvement.
· Ensure customer enquiries are logged and kept current in CRM for tracking & visibility.
· Include the sales team in any commercial discussions that may occur through the technical development process with customers.
· Escalation of any lessons learned through the productization ramp up to the key stakeholders
· Contribute to capability assessments of the service centres readiness to support the offsite maintenance of new product implementation.
· Work with the Global and the local market area training and development manager to support the training requirements for new product implementation.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
· Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience
· Strong background in asset management, reliability engineering, or technical services within an OEM or heavy industrial environment.
· Proven record with business development within mining or heavy industry.
· Proven ability to lead field execution, and complex service delivery.
· Proven leadership across multidisciplinary technical and commercial teams is preferable.
· Five (5) years applicable industry, company and products and services knowledge/experience.
· Prior field service experience is highly desirable.
· Autonomous, capable of making decisions, work with minimum supervision.
· Excellent communication skills, spoken and written.
· Capability from demonstrated experiences to make quick, accurate decisions relative to problem solution and problem liability.
· Experience in leading and managing teams across multiple geographical locations will be highly regarded.
