We are currently seeking a Junior Control Systems Engineer specialising in SCADA who will develop to become a key part of the Metso BMH Engineering team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Learn to Design and configure SCADA systems to conform to operational requirements and required standards.
- Learn to develop and integrate SCADA system changes to production environments.
- Develop skills in PLC, HMI, and SCADA.
- Develop skills in IT/OT operations.
- Work as part of a team of Control System Engineers.
- Participate in team collaboration and knowledge management
WHO YOU ARE:
Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a technical field or approaching graduation in a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience or demonstrated capability in engineering, data analytics, technical support, or operational management.
- Experience with programming languages, operations and dashboard development to support data-driven decision-making.
- Strong experience developing standard operating procedures and other documentation.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated, proactive, adaptable and eager to learn.
- Able to swiftly adapt to and learn new technologies.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and process automation.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus on task completion
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluent and literate in English language.
- Customer service mindset.
Desirable Experience
- Ideally has experience in IT, electrical, or mining sectors, or familiarity with SCADA environments and transition processes.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues effectively.
- Experience with Power Bi.
- Experience of enterprise data management.
