Metso is now seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Head of Solution Group - Bulk and Port to lead our Product Sales function across the APA Market Area.
About the Role
The Head of Solution Group - Bulk and Port, leads the solution strategy for the APA region, driving sustainable and profitable growth while ensuring exceptional customer value. This senior leadership role provides strategic sales, technical and commercial direction across multiple internal teams to deliver the best outcomes for customers and Metso.
What you'll do:
- Set and execute the solution strategy across all three regions within the APA Market Area
- Provide strong sales leadership for the respective solution offering
- Build and lead a high‑performing Product Sales organisation with strong technical, commercial and value‑selling capabilities
- Ensure product growth strategies align with Account Plans by collaborating closely with Sub‑Regions, the Market Area and Global Key Accounts
- Drive product offering competitiveness through close collaboration with Business Lines to ensure market feedback and insight
- Oversee product sales training capabilities and ensure training is available across the organisation
- Implement and manage go‑to‑market sales channels as agreed with the Business Line and Market Area
- Champion disciplined use of key business tools, including CRM
- Ensure compliance with Metso’s approval grid and guidelines
- Embody and promote Metso’s Start With Safety culture
What you’ll bring:
- Relevant university degree, technical trade qualification or advanced diploma10+ years’ experience in a relevant field (less experience considered with a proven high‑performance track record)
- Strong business and industry understanding
- Customer‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving ability
- Results‑driven, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Team‑focused approach with strong collaboration skills across stakeholders
