The role and program
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has recently graduated in the field of Supply Chain Management.
At Metso, we are committed to the ongoing development and training of our employees. We consider our Graduates the future of this business, and as such this Training Plan has been customized to ensure you gain a thorough understanding of the Metso organization and its product portfolio.
The graduate will work independently to complete given tasks and activities, solving daily operational process issues. The role is mainly performed according to defined processes or work methods. Close supervision is provided when needed.
Applicants are now encouraged for our graduate Supply Chain Management stream intake, for those who have recently completed qualifications in a relevant discipline.
These positions will commence in July 2025 and will offer the successful applicants a 2-year opportunity to experience a wide variety of specific skills across our business pertaining to supply at local, intra-state, regional and global levels.

Duties
- Lead the strategic selection, qualification, and development of new suppliers.
- Administer Non-Disclosure Agreement, Terms and Conditions and Code of Conduct.
- Onboard vendors on Metso’s e-procurement portal.
- Develop price lists, short-term and long-term supply agreements, and contracts.
- Responsible for maximising overall supplier performance across a consolidated, competent, and reliable vendor base to meet Metso's business objectives.
- Develop and lead a structured supplier relationship management program for critical suppliers to drive performance and manage supply chain risk.
- Closely monitor suppliers' arrival times in conjunction with the operational procurement manager to ensure healthy levels of operational procurement performance are achieved.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives by building an ambitious savings pipeline and realising the savings to achieve the agreed-upon savings targets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategic category plans and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Support and guide the Tactical Sourcing team in supplier selection and RFQ processes.
- Support the continuous improvement of sourcing processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to best procurement practices and policies as outlined in Metso's code of conduct.
