Introduction


We are seeking a Technical Support Representative (TSR) to join our Process Solutions – Canada Sales and Services team. You will be responsible for delivering expert technical support to customers, developing operating game plans, and establishing strong, trust-based relationships. This involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing product guidance, and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. Your role plays a crucial part in supporting customer success and maximizing equipment performance, which will positively impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

In this position, you will report to the Director, Process Solutions – Canada Sales and Services.
This position is located in Wabush, Labrador, Canada. However, it involves up to 50% travel to customer sites.


Team you belong to

You will join a team of technical and commercial experts dedicated to delivering high‑performance solutions that help customers optimize their operations. The team is currently expanding market presence, developing innovative product offerings, and strengthening customer engagement.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Account Managers, Product Specialists, Engineering, and Field Service, and with external stakeholders including mine site engineers and operations teams.

What you’ll do

  • Respond to customer inquiries on comminution equipment (horizontal grinding mills, Vertimills (VTM), crushers, screens), including troubleshooting and product performance questions.
  • Provide expert guidance on equipment installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with support from Metso’s technical teams.
  • Address product-related concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with engineering and service teams to develop solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Offer recommendations on preventive maintenance schedules and best practices to maximize uptime.
  • Coordinate customer satisfaction activities (NPS).
  • Promote compliance with Metso’s safety standards, policies, and procedures at all customer sites.

 

 

Who you are

 

  • 5–10 years of experience in mining, preferably with hands-on experience in comminution circuits and related products.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of comminution processes and industrial applications.
  • Proven hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and technical investigations.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving skills related to comminution circuit applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); French is considered an asset (nice-to-have).
  • Self‑motivated, well‑organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
