Introduction
We are seeking a Site Account Manager to join our team. You'll connect with key decision-makers at the site level, maintain active, long-term partnerships, and champion Metso's value-adding offerings. You'll propose ambitious, growth-driven order intake budgets, consistently forecast, and achieve order intake and net sales targets. In this position, you will report to Sales Manager - Eastern Manager.
This position is mainly located in St Johns, Newfoundland, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. There will be 75% travel required for the role.

What you’ll do
- Relationship Management: Know, document, and share information about key site personnel, their responsibilities, and decision-making authority.
- Customer Activities: Oversee and coordinate customer visits and meetings.
- Seamless Cooperation: Ensure smooth collaboration between customers and Metso functions, coordinating resources for customer-facing activities.
- Value Promotion: Understand customer business and effectively communicate Metso’s added value.
- Business Growth: Target and deliver profitable growth from allocated sites.
- Sales Activities: Drive site sales activities and strategic planning with the site account team.
- Decision Insights: Understand customer Capex and Opex decisions and buying timelines.
- Business Development: Lead Metso's business development to enhance long-term partnerships.
- CRM Management: Ensure leads and opportunities are managed in CRM, maintaining and sharing site information.
- Account Planning: Drive site-level account planning and implementation across all Metso offerings.
- Business Analysis: Conduct continuous business analysis using Metso systems, defining site-level budgets and forecasts.
- Business Reviews: Conduct regular business reviews with customers and Metso teams.
- Resource Allocation: Decide on resource use for promotional activities within plan and budget.
- Unified Approach: Lead a unified Metso approach towards the customer, ensuring efficient information sharing.
- Customer Satisfaction: Orchestrate customer satisfaction surveys and develop action plans based on feedback.
- Continuous Improvement: Document and follow up on site findings and concerns, supporting continuous improvement.
- Accounts Receivable: Support accounts receivable and payment collections as needed.
Who you are
- Experience: 5+ years managing key accounts within the mining industry, with over 60% of time spent on site.
- Skills: Expertise in Sales, Account Management, Customer Relationship Management, and working closely with sales, product management, and services.
- Tech Savvy: High level of computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Salesforce) and knowledge of CRM systems.
- Strategic & Tactical: Ability to see the big picture, plan, and organize effectively.
- Communication: Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of customer business, industry, Metso portfolio, and services business.
- Networking: Strong networking skills and experience in a large matrix organization.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with a bias for action and detail-oriented behaviors.
- Motivation: Highly motivated, able to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Strategy: Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, cooperation, interpersonal, and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces.
