Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join Travel and Expenses Team in Vilnius.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all transactions are processed with efficiency and quality according to predefined standards and work processes and to help accounting specialists perform according to standards. Handle and take ownership of queries from customers in a timely manner.
- Review and approve expense reimbursement requests according to global, local policies and legislation requirements, ensure all transactions are recorded correctly
- Cooperate with the Corporate Card administrators to ensure all card transactions are recorded correctly in the accounting systems;
- Perform verification and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
- Participate in period-close procedures
- Review deliverables prepared by junior members of the team
- Support teamwork, collaboration and consistency across all sites and functions
- Training new employees, in cooperation with Team Leader
- Handle inquires and respond to queries in a timely manner
- Proactively act on expense policies, procedures and practicalities advisory
- Identify opportunities for process improvement regarding quality and productivity
- Participate and support improvements projects, changes implementation
- Execute all other position related tasks delegated by direct manager
Basic requirements for the position
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Process expertise
- Solution and development oriented, problem solving skills
- Teamwork and co-operation skills in a cross-cultural organization
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Advanced written and oral English language skills are mandatory
- SAP and Concur experience would be an advantage
