Job description Finance Manager Austria

Finance Manager Austria (m/f/d). Location will be Vienna, Austria

Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Main responsibility of the Company’s Financial and Administrative processes
  • Preparation of month end and year end closings related to corporate guidelines and policies and according to corporate timetables
  • Manages the yearly preparation of Statutory Financial Statements (Austrian GAAP) and the audit process
  • Ensures compliance with local tax requirements (Corporate income tax, VAT Reporting for AT, FI, DE) and manages local Tax Audits
  • Ensures compliance with Metso Group reporting (IFRS) requirements, in cooperation with Business Services and secures Data quality
  • Ensures compliance of local accounting principles, practices and guidelines
  • External mandatory statistical reporting
  • Controlling responsibilities for Austria and Germany legal entities
  • Participates in other relevant Finance projects on a case-by-case basis, depending also on other resources, to support achievement of overall Group business targets (Legal restructuring as Mergers/Demergers)
  • Ensures compliance with laws and regulations and the Group’s code of conduct, policies, guidelines, and internal controls
  • Manages lease contracts as lease premise, Fleet and other lease contracts and maintain respective policies
  • Office Management for the Vienna Metso office
  • Supervises local finance and admin team (2 employees) and drives improvements to ensure efficiency and quality of services

 

Qualifications And Experience
 

  • University degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • Minimum or 8 years of experience in finance management / controlling roles in a global business environment
  • Knowledge of local tax and statutory reporting and other compliance requirements 
  • Excellent experience with SAP-ERP system
  • Good IT Skills, easily learning new IT/Reporting tools
  • Strong understanding and commitment to internal controls and deadlines
  • Proven experience collaborating with auditors and tax advisors, managing external and internal financial reporting
  • Experience in treasury, financial risk management and credit risk management is an advantage
  • Comfortable in interacting with stakeholders across the organization and with German Finance team
  • Previous experience in leading a team of finance professionals and having excellent management leadership and coaching skills
  • Fluency in English and German, both verbally and written
