Introduction
We are seeking an Engineer in Electrical & Automation, Project Engineering, GBPS, SVS. The position will be part of the Global Engineering team and provide engineering and technical support to the Metso Services group for the CSP business unit. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the aftermarket engineering activity and technical support of the entire product range of CSP equipment. The Electrical Engineer reviews components specifications, Instruments specification and preparation of overall electrical design including wiring diagrams, Single line diagram, Panel layout, bill of materials and cable list for customer orders. Activities also include PLC hardware selection, motor controls, control panel design, possible field commissioning and troubleshooting, vendor testing, customer visits, Proposal and Sales support, equipment evaluation and selection, and support for cost estimation on new project proposals. Position requires the ability to work in a fast- paced environment, prioritize work on several projects simultaneously and present a positive, cooperative demeanor with customers and co-workers.
In this position, you will report to Manager, This position is mainly located in Vadodara Engineering Centre (VEC)

You will join a team of engineers dedicated working & leading the continued expansion of VEC in collaboration with our market areas, adjacent business lines, distribution network and other stakeholders. We are a multinational team comprised of members based in Finland, Australia, Brazil, USA and India. part of the Global Engineering team and provide engineering and technical support to the Metso Services group for the CSP business unit. What you’ll do
Prepare project documents including single lines, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, process & instrumentation diagrams, bill of materials, Panel layout etc.
- Sizing of electrical motors and drives for CSP products and equipment.
- Design instrumentation and control systems for CSP products and equipment or services to upgrade, refurbish or retrofit equipment.
- Read and review P&ID and C&ID diagrams.
- Apply electrical engineering knowledge, principles, and best practices to meet customer requirements and specifications.
- Show a commitment to quality, ethics, and safety.
- Show a commitment to meeting the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
- Observe safety regulations and exhibit a concern for safety.
- Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- To keep proper and effective communication between team members
- Continuously work on improvement of the quality of drawings & maintain the quality requirement of the customer.
- Resolves Non-conformance and manufacturing deviation issues
- Investigates mechanical problems and proposes corrective actions and/or repair procedures.
- Participates in training seminars (internal and external).
- Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor
- Providing input to facilitate process improvement.
- Traveling (both domestically and internationally) may be required as needed.
- Review customer specifications and identify deviations and exceptions as required.
- Understand customer requirements and communicate requirements to stake holders.
- Maintains awareness of current state-of-the-art technologies and trends in electrical engineering and automation and implement product improvement ideas to maintain a cost and technically competitive standard offerings.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, reacting quickly to issues.
Who you are
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Electronics and telecommunication / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent with a experience of 3 to 5 years.
- Hands-on design and engineering experience with equipment used in Mining, Mineral Processing, or bulk material handling industries.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Siemens Teamcenter PLM, and Autodesk Inventor (preferred).
- Skilled in using Zuken E3 (mandatory) and EPLAN Electric (preferred) for electrical engineering design.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong decision‑making ability with the confidence to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
Skills and Abilities:
- Autonomous, capable of making decisions, work with minimum supervision.
- Team oriented, Self-motivated and target oriented.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and effective interpersonal skills are required.
- Solid computer skills.
- Product knowledge of major mining equipment is a plus.
- Must be able to function effectively both as a member of a team and as an individual contributor.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted with limited supervision.
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Must be capable of effectively working on several projects at one time.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
