Sr. Design Engineer/ Design Engineer, Plant Solutions, Mineral Engineering

Introduction

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer / Sr. Designer to join our Plant Solution team in Vadodara, India. We deliver state of the art material-processing equipment and optimized processes. In this role, you will perform engineering work for Minerals processing equipment delivery projects.

In this position, you will report to Manager/Deputy Manager of engineering team within the project delivery.

This position is mainly located in Vadodara, Gujarat, India and may require up to 10% travel.

You will join a team of design engineers dedicated to leading the continued expansion of the mineral processing equipment in collaboration with our market areas, adjacent business lines, distribution network and other stakeholders. Our team culture is all about high ambition and succeeding together. We are a multinational team comprised of members based in Finland, Australia, and India. 

What you’ll do

• Participate in Mechanical engineering work in Equipment delivery projects.
• Individually or as a team member perform daily engineering work such as CAD-modelling, production of manufacturing drawings, simple technical calculations, and component selection for equipment’s.
• Perform configuration of components and product structures and items in PDM, EDM, Enovia, EDM Vault & SAP.
• Participate in and support sales and product management tasks.
• Co-ordinate with Internal and external customers and manufacturers.

Who you are

• Diploma/Graduated in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong engineering background with minimum 4-9 years of experience in Design & Plant Layout,
• Conveyors, Feeders, Thickeners, Floatation, Pressure Filters, Classifiers, Cyclone, Magnetic separator, Ball Mills, Rod Mills etc. equipment engineering, Structural drawings and GD&T.
• Understand the engineering tools: 2D, 3D (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks), SAP, EDM & PDM (preferably Enovia).
• Good understanding of P&ID, Process flow diagram.
• Project Oriented working methods.
• Capability to work independently and proactively.
• Ability to communicate in English.
