Senior Engineer

Introduction

 

We are seeking a Sr. Designer to join the engineering team in Vadodara, India. We deliver state of the art material-processing equipment and offer Upgrade & Services to our customer.

 

In this position, you will report to Manager of Operational Engineering Team.

 

This position is mainly located in Vadodara, Gujarat, India and may require up to 10% travel.

The candidate will be part of the Grinding Bulk Pyro Smelting (GBPS) Servies (SVS) Engineering Team based in Vadodara, Gujarat, supporting Grinding related parts & sub-assemblies.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Responsible to work on design of Heavy fabrication components such as Shell, Trunnion, Head, Trunnion Bearings, Gear, Gear Guard, Feed and discharge arrangement of Horizontal grinding mills.
  • Work on Components of Lubrication system, grease spray system and Temperature monitoring system of Horizontal grinding mills.
  • Prepare Mechanical 2D & 3D General arrangement drawings, Detail Drawing, BOM preparation, Specification, procedures for Grinding equipment such as Horizontal and Vertical Grinding mills to refurbish, upgrade, or retrofit
  • Apply mechanical engineering knowledge, principles, and best practices to meet customer requirements and specifications.
  • Resolve engineering problems and concerns and work closely with client representatives to ensure problem resolution, give timely feedback, take actions on eventual deviations.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a dynamic multi-project environment.
  • Ensure engineering tasks are delivered on time, on cost and on the quality and performance.
  • Apply mechanical engineering knowledge, principles, and best practices to meet customer requirements and specifications.
  • Utilize Operational Engineering standards, workflow processes, and software to facilitate timely, accurate engineering data and drawings.
  • Maintain positive and professional attitude and work as a member of a global team.
  • Travel may be required as and when needed, including both domestically and internationally.

 

 

Who you are

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years/ITI draftsman mechanical with 7+ years of experience.
  • Must have experience in Design/Engineering of Heavy Equipment.
  • Hands on Experience in Heavy Engineering Fabrication, Machining drawing, casting drawing & GA drawings.
  • Knowledge of Materials Standards and dimensions standard used for heavy machinery.
  • Competent with 2D CAD and 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD Mechanical & others as required)
  • Competent with Engineering and ERP systems (Vault EDM, SAP, Enovia & others as required)
  • Applicants with relevant experience of minimum 2+ years in the Horizontal and Vertical Grinding mill products from reputed companies would be preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

 

  • Hand on experience of Design/Engineering of Heavy Equipment.
  • Knowledge of standards ISO, IS, DIN, ASME, ANSI, European dimensional & material standards.
  • Having good experience of mechanical and structural drawing checking.
  • Hands on knowledge of drafting/design standards, follow specifications/codes, design intent for the application, tolerances, welding and generate BOM accurately.
  • Hand on experience on GD&T, welding and Machining symbols.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Good Communication Skills (in Global Environment)
  • Good interpersonal skills, Well Organized and Capable to work without supervision.
