Senior Engineer, Hydraulic Engineering, GBP, SVS

Introduction:

 

We are Metso Vadodara Engineering Centre are looking for Senior Hydraulic Engineer, responsible for the Design, Development and implement Hydraulic solution for Grinding mills, Stirred Mill , Pyro and Bulk Material Handling Equipment. The position requires in-depth knowledge of Hydraulic including sizing and selection of various hydraulic components such as hydraulic pumps, pressure control valves, direction control valves, flow control valves, Pipe/tube fittings, transducers, filters, servo mechanisms and servo valves, actuators etc. The Hydraulic Engineer is responsible for engineering, design and development of Hydraulic system which will typically include preparation of Bill of Material, Hydraulic Schematics, drawings related to BOM, and other engineering documents related to the design and fabrication of hydraulic equipment.

 

This position is based at Vadodara, Gujarat, India reporting to Head of Engineering.

This positon will be a part of GBP, SVS, will have the responsibility to develop and maintain Metso standard product portfolio according to the product roadmap and develop specific solutions for our customers. Equipment related to Metso SVS Engineering for product development and customer project delivery. The Senior Engineer works in close collaboration with a Global Product Engineering and Product Line.

 

 

What you will do

 

  • Design, Development and implement hydraulic solutions for Grinding mills, Stirred Mill , Pyro and Bulk Material Handling Equipment.
  • Actively develop and nurture OEM client relationships, understanding their specific needs and delivering custom solutions.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality and innovative hydraulic systems.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of hydraulic systems in various environments.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in hydraulic technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of sizing and selection of various hydraulic components such as hydraulic pumps, pressure control valves, direction control valves, flow control valves, Pipe/tube fittings, transducers, filters, servo mechanisms and servo valves, actuators etc.
  • Knowledge on Hydraulic manifolds/ valve block, should be strong in Hydraulic system design, calculations, Analytical skills, layout & circuits design
  • Should have good knowledge on hydraulic oil cleanliness, Filtration & oil selection, lubrication & cooling system.
  • Experience on system testing / Simulation & hydraulic system calibration.
  • Understanding of Global standard for hydraulic system, Quality standards required for Lubrication systems, Close loop oil and Grease systems, Hydraulic systems knowledge is required.
  • Experience in Grease (Dual Line, Progressive Multiline, Spray) and knowledge of Oil Lubricating systems (Pre- Jacking, HP-LP System, etc.) preferred.
  • Should have knowledge of different global Piping Standard and Selection addition to global standard knowledge.
  • Technical design and review of Hydraulic schematics, layout, and drawings along with Bill of materials and other Engineering documents related to the design and fabrication of hydraulic equipment.
  • Extensive experience in test/evaluation of hydraulic systems, pneumatic high-pressure piping and valve applications
  • Experience in 3D Modelling, detailed drawings of fabrication, Hydraulic assemblies and components is a plus.
  • Experience of modeling and detailing, preferably using Inventors, SolidWorks etc.
  • Trains and mentors’ junior engineers and Mechanical / Electrical designers.
  • Observe safety regulations and exhibit a concern for machine safety

  • Bachelor of Engineering or technology in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent with a minimum experience of 5 years, a preferred experience of 7 years
  • Experience in Designing of hydraulic system is necessary.
  • Experience of various global standards is necessary
  • Experience in sizing and selection of various hydraulic components is necessary.
  • Experience in selection of hydraulic pump and hydraulic motor is necessary.
  • Experience in close loop system is preferred.
  • Experience in Servo mechanism is a plus.
  • Experience in system testing/simulation & hydraulic system calibration is preferred.
  • Experience in cylinder & Manifold block development is a plus.
  • Experience in Lubrication system development is a plus.
  • Experience in Piping standard, selection and pressure drop calculation is necessary.
  • Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting hydraulic systems is a plus.
  • Experience in selection of transmitter/sensor is a plus.
  • Experience in mobile hydraulics is a plus.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.
  • Experience as a trainer and training material development are a plus.
  • Experience of working with overseas customers is a plus.
  • Experience of modeling and detailing in 3D CAD is a plus.
