Engineer / Sr. Engineer, Planning, Consumables

 

Introduction:

 

We are seeking an Engineer / Senior Engineer to join our Production Planning & Control team. The Person will be responsible for handling production planning and control activities in the Foundry unit under the guidance of the Production Planning and Control Head. The parson will ensure that all resources are utilized most optimally to meet the targets for the Plant as per the customer expectations.

 

This position is mainly located in Vadodara.

The person will join a team of foundry experts dedicated to deliver results and who are passionate about organizational commitment.

 

We work closely with internal & external stakeholders, such as Production, Procurement, Warehouse team. The members in our team are located in Ahmedabad & Vadodara.

 

What you’ll do

 

· Develop and Implement Monthly and Weekly production schedule based on demand from customer (MTO & MTS scenarios).

· Interface with customer for delivery commitments and follow ups with cross functions for timely supplies.

· Creating weekly, fortnight and monthly reports on parameters defined for controlling on shop floor and co-ordinate meetings with all concerned informing gaps and create mutually agreed future action plan.

· Periodic review of WIP and implement shop floor controls for uninterrupted work flow during manufacturing sequence.

· Implement efficiency measurement and improvement measures at production sub processes.

· Reduction in manufacturing cycle time by improving efficiency at bottleneck sub processes in production.

· Create production orders in SAP and review production orders for their completion against planned finish date and timely rescheduling and communication to concern.

· Review standard hrs for all processes, for needed correction / improvement.

· Workout weekly /monthly MIS reports for management review.

· SAP Master data review and update on decided frequency.

· In absence of team member, cover up for their tasks and responsibilities.

 

Who you are

 

· Diploma / Degree in in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical with minimum 2-3 years of experience in Production Planning process in a large/medium size manufacturing / Automotive industry.

· Well conversant with MS Excel, Word & Power point.

· Working in SAP environment is a must (SAP – PP, MM Module).

· Good communication skills in English and Hindi.

· Good analytical skills.

· Team player

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· Work with organized and systematic working methods
