Engineer, Product Warranty, BDH

Introduction

We are seeking a Product Warranty Engineer to join our Beneficiation, Dewatering and Hydrometallurgy (BDH BL) team in the Services Business Area! In this global role, you will get to influence end-to-end quality and warranty processes in business line level and your role plays a crucial part in increasing the overall customer  satisfaction. In this position, you will report to Manager, BDH, based in Vadodara. Also work with Matrix organization where functional reporting to Product Warranty Manager, BDH Operation.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure reliable warranty and non-conformity case management according to Global model (Salesforce)
• Owns actions related to a warranty claim and is responsible for completing the corrective & preventive actions individually and with the stakeholders
• Act as Warranty Case Project Manager when needed or assigned to
• Identify repetitive issues and report when noticed
• Drive warranty cost reduction and raise awareness within BDH BL
• Taking part of data handling & development especially Salesforce, PowerBI and possible other tools
• Grow awareness within BDH BL for warranty and quality tools and processes
• Ensure completion of failure investigations
• Inform the Claim Coordinator about the completion of the task
• Team and individual development & performance management in warranty
• Actively participate in the development of the warranty function and its processes
• Other development tasks related to warranty team functions and processes

Who you are: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 4+ year of work relevant expericence.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, Power BI, Autocad, Solidworks, Inventor and Microsoft Office tools.  
• You thrive in eliminating problems and risks rather than just dealing with them.  
• Your systematic and calm approach is well-suited for leading data-driven processes.  
• You appreciate the opportunity to create something new and enjoy the responsibility it brings.  
• Have demonstrated capability for successfully managing Quality & Warranty processes.  
• Good communication skills and fluency in verbal and written English
• Understanding of both technical and economical aspects of warranty claim cases.
• Customer-focused attitude with a willingness to respond to all customer claims in a timely manner
