Introduction
We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our CSP Operations Engineering team. You will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of Crusher and auxiliary components. which involves understanding of engineering concepts like 3D modelling and detailing, material standards, welding standards. Your role plays a crucial part in achieving the on-time delivery of design task/request, achieving collaborative working environment, which will contribute to on time execution of jobs and positively impact team’s output. In this position, you will report to CSP operations team manager.
This position is mainly located in Vadodara, India, it involves up to less than 5% of travel.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of design engineers dedicated to work on design task requests from other crusher business line teams, this team is passionate about delivering the design outputs and BOMs with great quality. We are currently working on various crusher design task and supporting RnD project’s tasks.
We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as CSP engineering, Quotation teams. Our team culture is all about customer in center & getting it done together. Our internal customers are majorly located in USA and Finland.
What you’ll do
- Design, development and Maintenance of Crusher components and auxiliary equipment parts
- Creation and maintenance of product technical documentation, to support products within design responsibility
- Supporting the after-market needs for customers and installed equipment.
- Understanding the requirement and analyzing the scope clearly.
- Preparing and execution plan and estimation of completion.
- Preparation of 3D modelling & 2D drawing with NX software.
- Preparation of BOM and instruction documents.
- Maintain the drawing revisions & metadata in PLM software Teamcenter.
- Releasing the drawings and metadata in Teamcenter to SAP.
- Report the correct data to change management team.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum of four (4) years of Engineering experience required
- Must have 3D modelling, 2D detailing & BOM preparation experience.
- Knowledge of GD&T is mandatory
- Knowledge of crushers / mobile crushers is highly recommended.
- Knowledge of change management is a plus
- Experienced in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is a plus
- Must have the ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks with little supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills (English) – mandatory
- Observing safety regulations and exhibiting a concern for safety
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere, multi-cultural and multi-language atmosphere
