AM / DM, Procurement CNS Vadodara Foundry

Introduction 

 

We are looking for a Procurement Professional to join our Procurement function at the Vadodara Foundry. In this role, you will source critical foundry materials and services, develop suppliers, manage commercial agreements, and improve cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity for plant operations and growth projects.  

This role is based at our Vadodara Foundry in India.  

 

Team you belong to 

 

You will join the Procurement team supporting the Vadodara Foundry. The team works closely with plant operations, engineering, quality, finance, project teams, and external suppliers. Together, you will help secure reliable material and service availability while strengthening supplier performance and delivering sustainable commercial value. 

 

 

What you'll do  

 

  • Lead sourcing and procurement of steel scrap, manganese scrap, high-chrome scrap, Cr-Mo alloy scrap, ferroalloys, foundry sands, chemicals, refractories, resins, and hardeners.  

  • Drive supplier identification, development, onboarding, assessment, audits, and performance improvement.  

  • Prepare RFQs and RFPs, conduct technical and commercial evaluations, analyze cost breakdowns, and negotiate payment terms and contracts.  

  • Manage procurement for machining, manpower, equipment, job work, and other indirect activities.  

  • Support demand forecasting, inventory planning, lead-time management, safety-stock decisions, and supply-risk mitigation.  

  • Partner with plant teams to connect material specifications and sourcing decisions with casting quality and production performance.  

  • Deliver category strategies, spend analysis, purchase price variance reporting, cost savings, cost avoidance, and market intelligence.  

  • Support procurement for new foundry setup, capacity expansion, furnace installation, automation, crane, and equipment projects.  

 

 Who you are  

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.  

  • Relevant procurement experience in a foundry, metals, heavy-engineering, or industrial manufacturing environment.  

  • Strong knowledge of foundry raw materials, moulding materials, equipment procurement, and key foundry processes.  

  • Practical experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, commercial negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis.  

  • Working knowledge of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor master data, goods receipt notes, inventory, and purchase price variance.  

  • Hands-on experience with SAP MM, business intelligence tools, Sievo, or comparable procurement reporting and analytics tools.  

  • Ability to work effectively with plant teams and suppliers, interpret technical requirements, and turn data into sound procurement decisions.  

  • Experience in project procurement, ESG and sustainability requirements, or supplier risk management is an advantage.
