About the Role

As an Industrial Painter, you will play a key role in preparing, painting and finishing a wide range of mining equipment and components. Working within our workshop team, you'll help ensure every product leaves the workshop to the highest quality standard while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills, learn from experienced professionals and contribute to a high-performing workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, blasting, masking and sanding
  • Apply industrial coatings and paint systems to mining equipment and components
  • Ensure all work meets quality and customer specifications
  • Conduct inspections and identify defects or areas requiring rework
  • Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools
  • Follow workshop procedures, quality standards and safety requirements
  • Work closely with workshop tradespeople, supervisors and planners
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Experience in industrial painting, protective coatings or a related trade
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • High attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Current driver's licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
