We are currently seeking for Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to assist and perform mechanical repairs, component refurbishment, and other service activities related.

What you'll do:

Develop skills to perform mechanical repairs, component refurbishment and service activities relating to Metso OEM Equipment components, complete machines and spare parts.
Develop skills to undertake strip and assess and then rebuild of Metso equipment
Develop skills to interpret detailed drawings relating to complex equipment, measuring components utilising precision measuring tools.
Develop skills to correctly record precision measurements within a detailed report.
Develop skills to carry out basic fitting within fine precision tolerances relating to bearings, bushes and sleeves and other parts.
Develop skills to compile routine reports, condition reports and correspondence relevant to jobs.
Receive feedback, training and mentoring from fellow tradesman
Using the Company’s safety tools to assist in controlling the hazards, which apply to each task the Employee undertakes.

You will have a keen interest in a mechanical environment
Previous mechanical experience
Excellent work ethic
Enjoy working in a technical environment
Good hand-eye coordination
A strong ‘team player’ with the proven ability to work efficiently with others
Personal commitment to safety and environmental protection
Drivers Licence
