Introduction
We are looking for a Senior Logistics Specialist to join our APAC Special Logistics team in China. In this role, you will coordinate, design, and optimize complex end-to-end logistics solutions while ensuring reliable execution of critical shipments across the regional and global supply chain. You will proactively manage logistics performance, lead recovery actions for high-risk deliveries, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Contributing to improved service reliability, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction, you will play a key role in ensuring successful on-time delivery execution throughout the customer journey. You will report to the Manager Special Logistics APAC.
This role is based in Tianjin, China.

You will join a team of experienced logistics specialists focused on managing complex logistics requirements, drop shipments and subcontracting deliveries, transportation planning, and logistics execution excellence across the APAC region.
Our team plays a key role in enabling successful customer deliveries by managing logistics scenarios that require flexibility, expertise, and close stakeholder collaboration. Our shared focus is to provide reliable, compliant, and customer-oriented logistics solutions while continuously improving operational performance and logistics capabilities.
We collaborate closely with procurement, order processing, delivery management teams, trade compliance specialists, logistics service providers, carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and customers. Our Special Logistics team is globally connected and driven by accountability, customer-centricity, continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to solving complex logistics challenges.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate and optimize complex end-to-end logistics solutions for special deliveries, drop shipments and subcontracting product shipments
- Proactively monitor logistics execution and delivery performance, ensuring timely intervention when risks arise.
- Lead shipment recovery activities, escalations, and root-cause analysis for critical or high-impact logistics cases.
- Collaborate with logistics service providers, carriers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable service execution.
- Provide expertise on transportation options, import/export processes, customs requirements, and logistics compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve service performance, shipment visibility, and logistics efficiency.
- Support development and implementation of logistics standards, work instructions, and best practices across the region.
- Analyze logistics performance data and identify opportunities for cost optimization, service improvements, and enhanced customer experience.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in logistics operations, transportation management, freight forwarding, supply chain management, or international logistics.
- Strong understanding of international transportation, import/export processes, customs requirements, and logistics compliance.
- Proven ability to manage complex logistics scenarios and resolve delivery challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across diverse cultures, functions, and external partners.
- Experience working with ERP and logistics systems such as SAP, transportation management platforms, Sales Force and shipment visibility tools.
- Experience driving continuous improvement, standardization, or digitalization initiatives within logistics operations.
