We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. This position will primarily focus on providing administrative support and coordinating logistical activities to ensure smooth operations. This role is ideal for an experienced professional interested in continuing their career in logistics within a supportive and collaborative environment.
In this position, you will report directly to the Senior Manager, Logistics (C&E).
This position is mainly located in Tianjin, China.
TEAM YOU’LL BELONG TO
The Senior Logistics Specialist supports the Service Logistics team in managing daily operations specific to their allocated project as lead or supporting specialist. This role ensures shipments move smoothly, data is accurately maintained, compliance requirements are met and communications to the team is maintained. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Service Providers, Category Managers, Project Managers, Business Lines and Product Lines, Other Market Areas, Sales Team and the Purchasing Team.
WHAT YOU’LL WILL DO
- Coordinate end-to-end logistics activities and multi-modal transport solutions for your allocated projects and ensure timely communication to the allocated project manager and support team
- Preparing shipping and customs documentation for imports and exports globally for multiple entities in the supply chain.
- Support trade compliance by reviewing documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement discussions (e.g., process mapping, cycle time reduction) as directed by their manager
- Provide insights to support negotiations with 3PLs, 4PLs and other logistics service providers.
- Monitor shipment status and update internal systems and shipment tracker (SAP/TM/SMM).
- Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and distribution centres to track deliveries.
- Coordinate last-mile delivery operations and exception handling.
- Maintain accurate system records and updates.
- Communicate potential issues (delays, compliance flags, etc.) to the Project team and escalate any issues to the Project Logistics Manager.
- Assist in Leading, mentoring, and training team members in international logistics best practices
- Oversees daily operations, coaches the Logistics Coordinator, and manages complex shipments.
- Coordinate Logistics related claims and damage in transit processes.
- Co-ordinates any Non – Project related shipment allocated by their manager.
- Reviews and coordinates shipments under Letter of Credit
