  1. Job Description

 

  1. JOB STATEMENT

Oversee daily production operations to meet quality and delivery targets. Responsible for HSE and LEAN activities of production team, carrying out appropriate measures to train operators and motivating them with strong shop floor leadership, working closely with internal stakeholders, such as Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless production flow and alignment with technical and quality requirements.

  1. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in addition to job statement)
  1. Lead the team to work in a safe working environment.
  2. Optimize the use of manpower, machines, and materials to ensure production is completed within defined lead times. This includes workstation assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
  3. Liaise with QA to ensure products meet quality regulations and standards. Reject non-conforming products. Cooperate with Quality team including ISO 9001 compliance, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
  4. Standardize and continuously improve production processes, layouts, work instructions, and SOPs in line with global and local standards
  5. Support equipment maintenance activities, including breakdown support and preventive maintenance planning
  6. Supervise and guide production teams, fostering a strong culture of teamwork, safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.

Work together with engineering, quality, purchasing, order office, and all other departments in Tianjin plant. Also work together with Metso global supply chain colleagues.

  1. AUTHORITY

  1. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    • College or above degree in mechanical, production, or industrial engineering, or a closely related field
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, production, industrial engineering or maintenance environments.
    • At least 3 years production supervisor management experience
  1. SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Hard working and quick learning abilityremain flexible and responsive in a dynamic production environment.
    • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills
    • Lean mindset, using Kaizen, continuous improvement tools, and performance management techniques effectively
    • Collaborate effectively across functions and guide teams through change and improvement initiatives as a people leader.
    • ERP knowledge, good concepts and practice in SAP/MES are preferred
