We are looking for a Business Controller to support Consumables BA. This is a great opportunity to get involved in global business area finance work and grow professionally in business finance.
The Business Controller plays an important role in financial transparency, business insight, and value creation. The role partners closely with Business Lines (BLs) / SC finance and BA operational team to support performance management, project execution, and decision-making through high‑quality financial analysis and harmonized reporting and development work. Key to success in this role is to understand end-to-end processes from supply to deliver from financial viewpoint. Responsibilities include standardized monthly reporting and analysis as well as ad hoc analysis and development activities for the BA.
Focus areas
- Provide in-depth financial analysis and actionable insights to business team
- Contribute to accuracy, consistency, and transparency in reporting across BLs
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviews in close collaboration with stakeholders
- R&D project controlling
- Quality cost monitoring and controlling
- Finance execution of strategic projects, operational projects or cross function projects
- Support in standardization and harmonization of financial processes, reporting, and KPIs across BLs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, transparency, and comparability
- Provide financial expertise in business cases, investment analysis & follow-up, and transformation initiatives
- Contribute to best practice sharing across the Consumables BA
- Deliver high-quality ad hoc analysis to support management needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (required)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business controlling, financial analysis, or a similar rolein international companies (required)
- Deep understanding and knowledge for management accounting (required)
- Strong in Excel and other analytical tools (required); Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Experience of SAP / Power BI / Onestream or similar systems as an advantage
- Manufacturing finance /commercial finance knowledge is an advantage
- Ability to translate financial data into clear business insights
- Willingness to develop into a world class finance professional
