Project Document Controller

Project Document Controller supports Finland and Germany Documentation teams as a local specialist. This position is located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

As a part of the role Project Document Controller will be working with documents in the Document Management Systems (DMS) and documentation distribution systems e.g. SharePoint.

Document Controller will be handling originals of the documents, keeping track of printed out materials and distribute documents to local Site team, Project management and Engineering teams per request as well as to the Customer and Local Design Institute.

Tasks:

• Handling documentation in the Document management systems per request from Site Team, Local Project management and Engineering teams (for example, looking for documents, checking revisions, downloading latest versions of the documents);
• Guidance and support to local project personnel (our own team, site team, institute etc.) in documentation related matters e.g. document management practices, contractual requirements, document management systems;
• Support of and close cooperation with Finland and Germany Documentation teams in order to eliminate misinformation and miscommunication;
• Organization of printing and folding of the documents in Tashkent printing agency in accordance with Contract requirements;
• Organization of delivery of the documents to the Customer in Tashkent and Local Design Institute in Tashkent/Almaty;
• Collecting of documents from the Customer and Local Design Institute, scanning them and saving to DMS / SharePoint, informing teams in Finland and Germany;
• Support of the project documentation team by translation of short emails and messages to/from Customer;
• Collecting of comments from the Customer regarding documents and delivering them to the Documentation teams in Finland and Germany;
• Collecting red-pen documents from the Site;
• Keeping register of the delivered/incoming documentation;
• Collecting documents on SharePoint and Metso Document Management Systems.

Requirements:

• Professional proficiency in Russian, Uzbek and English languages;
• General understanding of project delivery environment and document management;
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills;
• Customer interface experience;
• Experience of document management from complex international projects;
• Previous experience using document management systems;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook;
• Being proactive and responsible;
• Being able to understand engineering documents is a plus;
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
