We are seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to support our supplier development activities within our team and supplier network in the Metso Aggregates Business Area. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
In this role, you are responsible for creating and developing processes with the suppliers. You will work together with Engineering, including NPD projects, Supplier Quality, Procurement, and suppliers.
This position requires traveling 30-50 days annually. The location for this position is Tampere.
What you’ll do
- Develop internal and external process and product quality
- Lead Advance Quality Planning (AQP) activities, incl. technical reviews and FMEA
- Lead supplier development projects
- Communicate, advise, train, and support in development-related topics internally and externally
Who you are
- Suitable educational background, e.g., B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering
- Previous experience in development projects in the supplier network
- Experience in machine building, the steel fabrication industry
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma Tools successful implementation
- Lean Six Sigma Certification is seen as an advantage
- Self-driven and goal-oriented mindset
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Familiar with different development tools and methodologies
- Professional Finnish and English language skills
