Explore the various opportunities in engineering, sales, IT, marketing, logistics, HR, R&D, and more, and realize your potential at Metso in the summer of 2026.

As a Summer Trainee – PLM Tools and Processes Development, you will:

  • Gain insight into how electrical engineering operates in a global development organization—observe real-world practices, collaborate with experts, and understand how design and data management come together in large-scale projects.
  • Participate in developing and refining PLM processes to improve product design, change management, and release workflows.
  • Work with Teamcenter and related systems, configuring and testing tools to enhance usability and automation.
  • Support data migration and cleanup to ensure accuracy and consistency across PLM and ERP systems.
  • Document process improvements and best practices for global engineering teams.
  • Join cross-functional workshops, gather feedback, and contribute ideas for improving PLM tools.
  • Assist in creating training materials and user guides for new features and workflows.

Who you are

  • A student or recent graduate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, IT, or a similar field.
  • Familiar with PLM concepts—items, BOMs, revisions, workflows—and ideally some experience with Teamcenter or similar systems.
  • Interested in process development, digital tools, and data-driven improvements.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to communicate clearly.
  • Comfortable working independently and in international teams.
  • Experience with E3, NX, or Teamcenter is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, and Finnish is an advantage but not required.

What's in it for you

You’ll be part of the PLM & Process Development team at Metso Aggregates, working on projects that matter. Expect hands-on experience with tools like Teamcenter, NX, and E3, shaping workflows that engineers rely on every day. You’ll learn from experts, contribute ideas, and see them come to life. By the end of the summer, you’ll have practical skills and real-world experience. Many of our summer trainees continue their employment with us part-time, full-time, or with their thesis after the summer.

We offer benefits, such as healthcare, Epass Flex, Auntie mental well-being service, flexible working times, buddy support, learning opportunities, and networking and social activities in all our locations throughout the summer.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2130-2970 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.

Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
