Introduction
We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Sustainability, to join our Services Business Area (BA) Business Development and Sustainability organization for a one-year fixed-term parental leave cover. You will be responsible for conducting sustainability analysis and further developing the field of impact calculations in Services BA. Your work will support understanding our impacts and defining opportunities to further develop our sustainable portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with Business Lines and Functions and collaborate with the Corporate team and other Metso BAs. Your role plays a crucial part in our sustainability journey, and your expertise will contribute to business development. You will report to the Director of Sustainability.
The preferred location of this position is Tampere or Espoo, Finland, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
What you’ll do
- Conduct sustainability analysis for the Metso Plus portfolio and other business development needs
- Develop and coordinate Services BA impact calculations (carbon footprint, LCA, any other relevant) and support BL’s and Functions with the topic
- Collaborate with the Corporate team and other BAs to contribute to the development of Metso’s impact calculations
- Prepare and provide training for the organization about the chosen topics
- Support strategy execution in chosen initiatives that might be related, e.g., to regulatory topics, circular economy, or net zero roadmap
- Proactively follow market and regulatory developments in your expertise area and share knowledge among relevant stakeholders
Who you are
- Passionate about sustainability with 2–3 years of experience, ideally in a similar industry to Metso's
- Hands-on experience with product carbon footprint assessments, life cycle analysis (LCA), and sustainability impact modelling
- Strong analytical and development mindset, with the ability to manage data and translate sustainability impacts into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders
- Proven project management skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
- Industrial understanding of technical processes and materials; international work experience is considered a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills – cross-functional collaboration is key to success in this role
- Full working proficiency in written and verbal English, with strong presentation skills for delivering impactful training sessions
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, SAP, and Power BI is an advantage
