We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Quality Organization.
You will be responsible for investigating product quality complaints and turning them into actionable improvements, which involves conducting root cause analyses, prioritizing key areas for investigation based on quality data, and facilitating the planning and follow-up of corrective actions in collaboration with other functions. Your role is crucial in driving improvements in both product and operational quality, which will have a positive impact on operational excellence and customer satisfaction. In this position, you will report to the QHSE Manager.
This position is located in Tampere, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of two Quality Engineers, dedicated to ensuring the high quality of our products and operations. The team also includes an HSE specialist, who promotes safety across the factory.
We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as production, supplier quality, product management, and R&D teams. Our team culture thrives on supporting each other, celebrating wins, tackling challenges together, and making sure we have fun along the way. All members of our team are located in Tampere.
What you’ll do
• Investigating and facilitating root cause analyses of incoming customer complaints
• Turning findings into actionable improvements in collaboration with other functions and ensuring they are implemented as agreed
• Select and prioritize cases with the greatest potential for quality improvement, based on quality data
• Maintain an up-to-date overview of both the quality cases you are investigating and ongoing improvements, keeping stakeholders informed of progress
• Actively contribute to the development of our internal operations and processes by sharing your expertise and insights
• Assisting in measuring and reporting quality- and warranty-complaint-related KPIs
Who you are
• Experience in quality engineering within a similar industry or hands-on experience in machine manufacturing
• Excellent influencing and collaboration skills are required, as changes are implemented through other functions
• A hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with strong prioritization skills is important
• Ability to summarize key information clearly and communicate it effectively to stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written skills in Finnish are needed, along with the ability to communicate in English
• You are a team player who may not meet every requirement yet, but is highly motivated to grow, take initiative, and excel in the role
• Self-organized, with the ability to work independently
• Understanding hydraulics and machines operating in harsh environments is seen as an asset.
