Introduction
We are seeking a Global Planning Manager to join our Supply Chain Global Planning team in the Metso Aggregates Business Area. In this position, you'll play a key role in enabling equipment sales by securing competitive availability from factories globally.
You are responsible for leading the monthly global demand–supply balancing cycle as part of the S&OP process, coordinating global manufacturing footprint transitions from decision through implementation and leading the development and harmonization of availability planning processes across factories. From stakeholder point of view, you are acting as a pivotal point between factories, order management teams, product & business management and sales support.
This position is primarily located in Tampere, Finland. We are also happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
What you’ll do
- Facilitate cross‑functional discussions with Business Management, Supply Chain, and Finance to align feasible production plans.
- Ensure constraints, risks, and opportunities are transparent and that decisions support both customer availability targets and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement in demand–supply balancing methods, tools, and data quality.
- Coordinate global manufacturing footprint transitions and ensure timely updates of master data in ERP system and CPQ tool.
- Support factories in adopting common practices and tools while providing coaching and process guidance.
- Drive KPIs, root‑cause analysis, and improvement actions for availability performance.
Who you are
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in S&OP, demand–supply balancing, or production planning, preferably in a global, multi‑plant environment.
- Suitable educational background, e.g. B.Sc or M.Sc. in supply chain management, engineering or business.
- Experience with ERP and proven track record in leading cross‑functional change initiatives.
- Good analytical and presentation skills; ability to structure complex topics into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and express informed opinions.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
