We are seeking a Development Engineer, Industrial Engineering, to join our Industrial Engineering team. You will be responsible for developing manufacturability, instructions, and the supply chain of electronics, and setting quality requirements for new parts in cooperation with engineering and quality organizations. Your role plays a crucial part in developing and optimizing production processes for electrified heavy machinery, which will contribute to sustainable and cost-efficient operations. In this position, you will report to the Project Manager, Supply Chain Development.
This position is located in Tampere.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of experts dedicated to developing supply chain processes in new product development.
We work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, such as engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers. Our team culture is all about process development and a continuous improvement-oriented mindset. The members of our team are located in Tampere.
What you’ll do
- Develop and optimize production processes for electrified heavy machinery
- Develop manufacturability, instructions, and supply chains of electronics
- Participate in assembly reviews organized by engineering
- Set quality requirements for new parts in co-operation with engineering and quality organizations
- Act as a link between the factory organization, suppliers, and product engineering
- Participating in the First Part approval Process
- Manufacturability analysis in new product development and product updates
Who you are
- Bachelor's/Master's of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in electrics with heavy machinery
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work in cross-functional project teams
- Strong communication skills in Finnish and English
- Familiarity with welding and metal fabrication techniques is considered an advantage
- Experience with SAP and Teamcenter or other PLM systems is considered a plus
