Are you a dynamic and growth-oriented professional with a passion for business development? Join our inclusive team at Metso in the DMO/APAC Region! As an Aftermarket Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving our aftermarket business within the DMO APAC North region.

Role Overview:

In this position, you’ll be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on aftermarket business opportunities. Your focus will be on fostering strong customer and distributor relationships, managing sales aspects, and finalizing agreements. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Execution
    • Develop and manage Metso’s strategic plans, encompassing sales, marketing, and pre/post-market support.
    • Translate Strategy into Action: You’ll take our strategic plans and turn them into tangible results. Your focus will be on implementing initiatives that drive business expansion.
    • Monitor Progress: Regularly assess the progress of strategic initiatives. Adjust course as needed to ensure alignment with business goals.
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution. Engage with sales, marketing, and support functions to bring strategic plans to life.
    • Change Management: Implementing initiatives often involves change. Your ability to navigate organizational dynamics and drive adoption will be crucial.
  3. Sales Enablement:
    • Collaborate with regional distributor managers to enhance distributors’ capability to sell our latest aftermarket offerings.
    • Ensure our aftermarket solutions remain competitive in the market by aligning with pricing trends.
    • Call on customers alongside distribution personnel to discuss the value and practicality of Metso’s products and services.
  4. Distribution Channel Management:
    • Evaluate and appoint sustainable distribution channels aligned with Metso’s overall strategy.
    • Empower distribution channels to become self-sufficient in pre and post-sales support.
    • Implement comprehensive training programs for distributors and end customers.
  5. Business Growth:
    • Own aftermarket targets (annual and short-term forecasts) within the region.
    • Drive growth through effective negotiation, finalization of agreements, and business plans.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Propose process changes or improvements that enhance cost-effectiveness.
