Introduction

We are looking for a dedicated Production Officer – Hose Builder to join our team. This role involves building hoses, precision work, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration to ensure high-quality production outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Support the smooth running of operations and work effectively with colleagues.
  • Follow all lawful and reasonable instructions, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain and care for equipment, ensuring proper use and compliance with training and safety standards.
  • Keep technical knowledge and qualifications up to date.

 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in hose building and material preparation.
  • Skilled in operating mechanical pulling aids, hand and power tools.
  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals and vapours.
  • Strong understanding of rubber types and their technical limitations.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and calculate material requirements.
  • Safe and confident knife skills.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions.
  • High attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work additional hours when required.
  • Ability to pass random medical and drug/alcohol tests.

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Dogging (DG), Basic Rigging (RB)
  • Forklift Licence
  • Certificate III in Polymer Processing (Rubber Lining)
  • Experience in sandblasting and painting.
