Introduction

We are seeking a Repairs Coordinator to join our Repair team at the Surabaya Service Centre. The Repairs Coordinator is responsible for end to end, from job initiation through completion, project management of repair/refurbishment and fabrication jobs.

In this position, you will report to the Service Center Manager. This role will be based in Surabaya.

 
What You’ll Do
  • Receive inquiries and liaise with customers in regard to jobs arriving for repair
  • Obtain relevant drawings and technical information and develop strip and assess, and repair scopes of work.
  • Create job scoping and issue work packs to internal workshops or vendors to strip and assess items
  • Compile and assess all information from strip and assess, then create cost estimates and detailed customer proposals
  • Create job scoping and issue work packs to internal workshops or vendors to execute repairs
  • Liaise with Repairs Technical Supports to answer technical queries from the workshops and vendors and advise on repair methods
  • Maintain IP related documentation including but not limited to drawings, specifications, procedures and managed under the Metso document control system
  • Create and maintain information in Repairs tools including but not limited to Repairs Management System (RMS), SAP, and Salesforce
  • Monitor progress of jobs both inhouse as well as at vendors and ensure jobs are progressing as per planned
  • Inspect all jobs prior to dispatch and sign off relevant documentation
  • Review the profit margin achieved for each job
  • Attend customer meetings, update on job progress and answer technical queries
  • Maintain continual communication with customers, verbally, through emails, via work in progress reports and in meetings
  • Investigate all negative customer feedback, put in place corrective actions to prevent a reoccurrence and respond appropriately to the customer

 

Who You Are
Essential
  • Diploma/Bachelor in Engineering
  • 5 years repairs experience in mining or heavy industry equipment
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in OEM service or maintenance operations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions and OEM technical manuals
  • Proficiency in English
  • Procifiency in MS Office suite
Desirable
  • Metso product experience
  • QAQC auditing experience
  • Welding, machining, fitting knowledge
