We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Repairs & Facility Planner to join our Repairs team in the Surabaya Service Center. The role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing work schedules while ensuring the availability of resources and maintaining the operational readiness of workshop facilities and equipment. This role acts as the central coordination point between the Workshop, Repairs Coordinators, Procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure activities are executed safely, efficiently, and on time. In this position, you will report to the Planning Superintendent. This role will be based in Surabaya.

 

What You'll Do

 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain detailed work schedules for all ongoing and upcoming projects in the Service Center to optimise production and resource utilisation.
  • Coordinate with Planning Superintendent and Repairs Coordinators to align job priorities and customer delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate with Workshop Leaders for manpower allocation and resource planning including equipment and tooling to meet targets.
  • Monitor progress of jobs and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Liaise with Repairs Coordinators and Procurement to track spare parts and consumables availability and delivery schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Make purchase request and track order for raw materials, consumables and 3rd party services needed to support work performed in the workshop.
  • Maintain work orders progress and information in Repairs Management System (RMS) Dynamics
  • Plan and oversee the regular preventive as well as correctice maintenance of Service Center facilities and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for facility upkeep and repairs.
  • Monitor and maintain records of facility and equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Support initiatives to improve workshop efficiency, resource utilisation, and planning accuracy.
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure comply with Metso Modus Operandi, Metso Life-Saving Rules and standard procedures.

 

Who You Are

 

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in workshop planning, maintenance planning, and facility management in repairs workshop environment or service industry.
  • Knowledge in repairs and fabrication particularly of Metso equipment including crusher components, screen assembly and parts, filter components and pumps is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of workshop operations, maintenance planning, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in planning tools, SAP, and MS Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • High commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
