Metso is looking for Warehouse & Quality Specialist that will be based in Surabaya. This person will support Warehouse Operations and Quality Assurance with all daily and project-based requirements.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

                                        

  • Oversee quality inspection and provide operational support across all warehouse activities, ensuring continuous improvement of daily processes.
  • Plan and coordinate warehouse operations to achieve on-time delivery and meet customer requirements.
  • Liaise with internal teams (QC, Order Management, and related functions) and external suppliers to resolve quality issues and support claims.
  • Highlight and mitigate risks related to warehouse deviations, including inbound, outbound, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Optimize warehouse processes and support cost-effective solutions for operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all activities align with Metso’s global warehousing and quality frameworks, policies, and compliance standards.
  • Respond to and act on operational enquiries, providing timely updates and solutions.
  • Expedite and track warehouse transactions, with a focus on critical or quality-affected stock, ensuring milestone status updates are communicated to all relevant parties.
  • Maintain accurate SAP transactions and master data for all warehouse-related activities.
  • Act as a key user and contact for warehouse systems and tools, supporting training and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Participate in warehouse-related projects and drive process improvements.
  • Prepare and disseminate operational and quality reports as required.
  • Be able to travel up to 20% of working time to support warehouse operations at different locations.

 

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Experience in a similar warehouse or quality assurance role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a mechanical-related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, quality inspection, and SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented working style.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, listening).
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experienced with SAP warehouse modules will be an asset
  • Previous experience in quality inspection of mechanical products is desirable
