Introduction
We are seeking a Senior Production Operator to join our Production Operations team. You will be responsible for operating injection molding machines end-to-end, ensuring safe, efficient production while meeting quality and compliance standards. This role involves equipment operation, mold setup, quality inspections, and daily maintenance activities. Your role plays a crucial part in ensuring workplace safety, maintaining high production quality, and supporting continuous improvement, which will positively impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. In this position, you will report to the Production Supervisor or Production Manager.
This position is mainly located in our manufacturing facility in Sudbury, Canada, with onsite work required to support production operations. The role requires flexibility to work assigned shifts as needed.
Team You Belong To
You will join a team of manufacturing and injection molding professionals who are dedicated to safe operations, product quality, and continuous improvement. The team strives to consistently deliver reliable, high-quality molded and assembled components that meet defined specifications. We are currently working on daily production operations, mold assembly and setup, equipment maintenance activities, and quality control processes.
We work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and logistics teams, as well as supervisors and managers to ensure smooth execution of manufacturing activities. Our team culture is centered on safety-first thinking, accountability, teamwork, LEAN principles, and continuous improvement. Team members are located onsite at the manufacturing facility and collaborate closely across shifts and functions.
What you’ll do
- Operate injection molding machines with end-to-end responsibility for production output, safety, and quality.
- Perform die setting, mold installation, and mold assembly according to technical and process specifications.
- Conduct daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, job specifications, and production instructions.
- Perform first-piece inspections, in-process quality checks, and participate in product approval processes.
- Handle materials responsibly, including BOM items, molds, frames, and components, ensuring readiness for production.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S, LEAN, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams while supporting additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
Who you are
- You demonstrate a strong safety-first mindset and consistently comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- You are experienced in manufacturing or injection molding operations and comfortable working in a production environment.
- You can read and interpret engineering drawings, quality specifications, and work instructions accurately.
- You bring strong attention to detail with a clear focus on quality, durability, and process compliance.
- You are physically capable of standing, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout a shift.
- You communicate effectively and collaborate well with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners.
- You are reliable, accountable, and flexible when supporting changing production priorities.
- Nice to have: Crane, overhead hoist, or forklift certification, or willingness to obtain certification.

For positions that may be performed in Ontario, the expected salary range is $59,900.00 – $69,800.00 CAD per year. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on skills, experience, and role-related qualifications. Compensation for roles performed outside Ontario will be determined in accordance with applicable local laws and market conditions.
