We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Proposal Manager to join our Mill Lining Business (MLB) Proposal Management team. In this role, you'll oversee a diverse proposal portfolio encompassing Mill Lining products, Optimized, Configured, and capital product groups, following Metso’s cutting-edge processes and best practices in Project Management. Reporting to the Director of Mill Lining Quotations and Proposals, you will play a key role in shaping our future success.

 

This role can be based in Sudbury, ON (CA), Lachine, QC (CA), or York, PA (US), with the added benefit of hybrid options, to suit your lifestyle and preferences.

You will be part of a dedicated Proposal Management team committed to delivering exceptional Mill Lining Proposals on time, driving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Your contributions will directly support our business growth and improve the overall customer experience.

 

 

Your role as a Proposals Manager, Mill Lining

 

  • Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement the best solutions that align with business and customer expectations, meeting key product targets such as wear life, tonnage, and performance.
  • Proposal Management: Oversee the entire proposal process, including gathering necessary information, understanding customer needs, and preparing comprehensive final documentation.
  • Collaborative Design: Work with Product Engineering teams to create and refine product design drawings and technical specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate lessons learned, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to enhance processes and outcomes.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Understand and address customer requirements effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with various internal teams, including Technical Sales Support, Sales, Engineering, ISS, and Marketing.

 

 

Who You Are

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Proven track record in overseeing product development or commercial projects.
  • Familiarity with mining and mineral processing technologies.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with strong prioritization skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce Systems and MS Project.
  • Strong influencing skills, forward-thinking attitude, and a results-driven approach.
  • Experience working with international and virtual teams across diverse cultures.
