Introduction
We are seeking a Contract Manager to join our Commercial Support / Market Area Services team. You will be responsible for managing customer contracts and executing service and delivery projects across the full project lifecycle, including inventory consignment, product upgrades, field service events, and long-term service agreements. Your role plays a crucial part in ensuring safe, timely, and high quality project execution while meeting contractual, budget, and customer expectations.
In this position, you will report to the Manager, Commercial Support Group. This position is mainly located in Sudbury, ON or Prince George, BC. The role involves approximately 25% travel, both domestically and internationally, to support customer sites and project execution.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of contract and project management professionals dedicated to delivering reliable service execution and strong customer experiences across Metso’s service portfolio. The team strives to ensure contract compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across all service projects.
We are currently managing Life Cycle Services contracts, long term service agreements, inventory consignment programs, and major service and upgrade projects for market area customers.
We work closely with Sales Account Managers, Proposal teams, Field Service, Supply Chain, Finance, SAP support teams, customers, and suppliers. Our team culture emphasizes accountability, collaboration, proactive communication, and continuous improvement. Team members are located across various market area locations.
What you’ll do
• Manage Metso owned inventory (MOI) parts and services contracts in line with global processes, tools, and policies
• Execute projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met
• Act as the customer’s single point of contact for contract related delivery and execution questions
• Perform SAP activities including project setup, purchasing, inventory management, invoicing, cost runs, and job closeout
• Lead internal and external kick off meetings to align on project objectives and contractual requirements
• Coordinate and engage internal and external stakeholders through regular communication and structured meetings
• Maintain project documentation including risk registers, change logs, inspection reports, and lessons learned
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback to key stakeholders
Who you are
• You bring solid experience in project or contract management, ideally within industrial, mining, or manufacturing environments
• You are fluent in English (French is an asset) and communicate effectively across all organizational levels
• You have strong SAP skills, particularly within Materials Management and Production Planning modules
• You possess a working knowledge of commercial and legal contract terms
• You are a proactive problem solver with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• You thrive in fast paced environments, managing multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines
• You demonstrate strong leadership, accountability, and a collaborative mindset
• Nice to have: Experience with mineral processing equipment, ability to read engineering drawings, PMP certification
