Introduction
We are seeking a Senior Project Logistics Specialist to join our Project Logistics team. You will be responsible for managing and supervising the project logistics processes of the Aftermarket business lines, actively collaborating with project teams, customers, suppliers and external stakeholders, meeting and enforcing the conditions, specific supply requirements needed in each business within the framework of the contract conditions with the customer, the project delivery schedule, the budget, the external and internal regulations in force, with the objective of achieving a quality of service in accordance with the expectations of the internal customer and end customer agreed in the contract with him. Your role plays a crucial part to contribute to our business.
In this position, you will report to Senior Manager, Project Logistics SAM.
This position is mainly located in Sorocaba, Brazil and it involves up to 25 % of travel (NACIONAL / INTERNACIONAL)
Team you belong to
You will join a team of Project Logistics Specialists dedicated to manage and supervise the project logistics processes of the Aftermarket business lines, actively collaborating with project teams, customers, suppliers and external stakeholders, meeting and enforcing the conditions, specific supply requirements needed in each business within the framework of the contract conditions with the customer, the project delivery schedule, the budget, the external and internal regulations in force, with the objective of achieving a quality of service in accordance with the expectations of the internal customer and end customer agreed in the contract with him. We are currently working on SVS Projects for the Business Lines BDH, GBP and CSP.

What you’ll do
- Analyze, plans, control and manage the materials required for the projects under its logistical responsibility, the deadlines and definitions related to the project supply process, in order to guarantee with its actions and that of the actors in the supply chain of each case, the compliance in a timely manner, as defined by the contract with the client, led by the Project Manager of each business.
- Execute and supervise the process of acquisition and supply to the site, per instructions of the PM, of materials and logistical services.
- Create and maintain current data for logistics management in the computer system.
- Analyze deviations and non-conformities on the milestones of the logistics chain of the projects under your responsibility, coordinating and monitoring entry and exit logistics for projects, proposing improvements to your management and the organization, of processes with an impact on logistics, that allow compliance with the business requirements of SVS projects, simplifying and facilitating them, with equal or better results than the existing one.
- Advice to the Project Manager on logistics issues for Metso's end clients, related to their direct orders to Metso abroad.
- Manage RFQs for project related transports and logistics related claims.
Who you are
- Logistics Management in international companies similar to Metso for 4 or more years in related work.
- Written and verbal communication skills in English is mandatory.
- Experience in logistics for projects with international chain for 5 or more years in related work.
- Teamwork, monitoring the progress of tasks carried out by the different actors participating in the supply chain, coordinating/coworking ability with different regional companies as well as local suppliers, collaborating with international teams (internal, external and customer).
- Working knowledge of International and local Logistics procedures in air/ocean/land transport as well as customs clearance procedures (Trade & Compliance & Export Control assurance)
- Strong interpersonal skills including persuasion, plus written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.

- Autonomous, team player, proactive and self-motivated.
- Articulate, engage and analyze logistics requirements and situations, seeking to establish a standard of excellence processes, open at the same time, in special cases, to seek practical solutions to drive positive outcomes.
- PC Literate:
- Working with ERP SAP R3 and/or ECC 6.0 and/or S/4 HANA (Modules MM, PS, TMS)
- MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PPT)
